Step 2 Your cover

RMC Comprehensive

Covers you - and recovers you - at home, locally and nationally

We'll come straight to you, wherever you are in the UK, ideally within the hour. If we can't sort it out there and then, you choose whether we recover your vehicle to a local garage, to your home, or to your destination.

Our vehicle policy allows up to 5 vehicles to be covered under the same policy. Or a personal policy covers up to 5 people as drivers or passengers in any eligible vehicle at all. And there's no limit on the number of call outs you can request

Your cover can include the cost of onward travel or a night's accommodation^*. If your vehicle needs moving a second time, perhaps if the garage of your choice is closed, we'll move it again when it's open.

Home, local and national recovery

Cover for electric and hybrid vehicles

Motorbikes, vans, caravans and trailers are all covered

Cover for misfuelling or running out of charge

No requirement to have a spare tyre or a puncture repair kit

Movement of your vehicle for a second time if the garage is closed at the time of the breakdown.

Key replacement up to £1500 with Keycare 5 Star Cover

What's not included:

Cover is not valid in the first 24 hours of taking out a policy

We don't cover the cost of replacement parts

If the vehicle is deemed to be illegal, untaxed, no valid MOT, not covered, un-roadworthy or dangerous to transport

What's covered

We’ll come and assist you at your home, or if you breakdown within a quarter mile radius of your home.

Tow to your local garage if we are unable to repair your vehicle.

What's not covered

Cover within the first 24 hours after purchase. Claims made in the following 24 hours is then limited to local recovery (10 miles) and a charge of £40 is payable for a claim made within this period

Any request for service where remedial action has not been taken following a previous breakdown or temporary repair being made, unless in transit immediately following a temporary repair, between a temporary repair and a repairing garage.

If the Vehicle is deemed to be illegal, untaxed, no valid MOT, not covered, un-roadworthy or dangerous to transport.

Where the vehicle does not carry a serviceable spare wheel, aerosol repair kit, appropriate jack or, the locking wheel nut (not applicable to Motorcycles)

Vehicles with a laden weight in excess of 3,500 kg (3.5 tonnes).Vehicles more than 7 metres long, 2.55 metres wide and 3 metres high.
